RE-OPERATION OF THE STUDENTS’ READING ROOM ON THE 2ND FLOOR OF THE UNIVERSITY CLUB

The Students’ Reading Room on the 2nd floor of the University Club of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens will reopen on 17th June 2021 until at least  21st June 2021 .It will be open Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 15:30, for students of the NKUA and Erasmus+ students, who will be able to study on the following conditions:

  • All services, including borrowing books from the Library and studying in the Reading Room, will be available according to priority of appointments fixed until 14:00 of the previous day. Students will be able to fix an appointment by sending a request to the following email address: ibaltatzi[at]uoa[dot]gr.
  • Requests must mention the name of the student, their School and the registration number of their NKUA Academic Identity Card.
  • The number of students who will be allowed to enter and study in the Reading Room is determined by the 1.5m physical distance restriction measure, which ensures safe use of the premises.
  • The maximum length of time students will be allowed to stay for in the Reading Room will not exceed 3 hours. Students will have the option to study either from 08:30 to 11:30 or from 12:15 to 15:15.
  • Students will use only the seats which have been defined by the Library staff and have the relevant markings on the floor.
  • Admission hours will be 08:30 and 12:15 with a maximum delay of 15 minutes. Before the start of the second study period in the Reading Room, the desks will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Students will have to show their NKUA Academic Identity Card, or a NKUA Certificate for the Admission as an Erasmus+ Student.
  • Before entering the Reading Room, students must use the hand antiseptic solutions which are placed at the entrance.
  • The use of a non-medical mask when entering and staying in the area is mandatory.
  • The lifts will be used only by the disabled, the elderly, or the sick.
